Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1, Saturday – Depart for Canada
Arrive in Calgary, Alberta’s gateway to the Canadian Rockies and transfer independently to your hotel. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 7 PM. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 5 PM

DAY 2, Sunday – Calgary City Tour, Canmore, Travel to Banff
This morning, embark on a city tour of Calgary. Drive past the major sites to see a combination of historical, architectural and vintage landmarks. Then, travel to the town of Canmore, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. After lunch at leisure, continue to Banff. Enjoy the mountain scenery as you approach Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrive in Banff and check into your hotel
*March departures will visit the Cave & Basin National Historic Site, followed by a daytime journey on the Banff Gondola

DAY 3, Monday – Full Day in Banff National Park
Spend a full day at leisure to explore Banff National Park on your own. Perhaps, join the optional Johnston Canyon Icewalk. Experience the winter wonderland of Banff’s Johnston Canyon. Discover a world of frozen waterfalls and blue ice pillars during your hike. Afterward, return to Banff. In the afternoon, participate in the optional Introduction to Curling to learn more about the history and rules of this winter sport. Try your hand at a friendly game to show off your newly acquired skills!

DAY 4, Tuesday – Lake Louise, Banff National Park
This morning, depart for Lake Louise, symbolic of the quintessentially Canadian mountain scene. The glacial lake, known for its blue waters, is located at the base of glacier-clad peaks. Return to Banff for an afternoon at leisure, or consider joining the optional sleigh ride*. Admire the snowy landscape and take in the beauty of snow and blue sky. Settle in under warm blankets as a team of horses pulls your traditional style sleigh. Later this evening, join the optional Nightrise gondola experience*. Soar to the top of Sulphur Mountain via gondola to witness the wonders that emerge after dark. Afterward, savor a Rockies inspired dinner

DAY 5, Wednesday – Depart Canada
Early morning group departure from Banff to Calgary International Airport for your departure flight. Passengers returning to Calgary from Banff on day 5 should select flights that depart no earlier than 2 PM. Banff is approximately a two hour drive from Calgary International Airport
